Toward the middle, you are a realist.
Toward the bottom, you are pessimistic, and have a tendency to behave negatively.
Facing left, you believe in tradition, are friendly, and remember dates (birthdays, etc.)
Facing right, you are innovative and active, but don't have a strong sense of family, nor do you remember dates
Facing front, you are direct, enjoy playing devil's advocate and neither fear nor avoid discussions. With many details, you are analytical, cautious, and distrustful.

Advertising exerts too great an influence on our daily lives. -> diz e tittle he gave me to write.

Advertising exerts too great an influence on our daily lives, I agree with this statement. In our everyday life, between any shows telecast, there will be three to four advertisements shown. Apparently, advertisements have slowly creep into our life.

Whether or not, one will notice while travelling on the streets, in the MRT, by cab, in school, office, and movies and even in the toilets, there is a possibility that one will spot a poster or drawing put up. Often, these advertisements have very strong influences. Take the Mac’s advertisement for example, every inch of the product feature makes one appetite well. The discount given also greatly encourages viewers who are interested to buy their food.

The ads have been a very powerful tool use to advertise goods to the customers. Recently, sliming products make use of an actress to promote their goods. They feature the before and after picture of the artist. Apparently, there is a very big change. Young woman or even teenagers would be attract by such advertisement and they would believe it and buy their product. The consumers might know that, the pills actually did not much help but because of the advertisement, many choose to give it a try.

Other than sliming products, cars and sport wear have very convincing advertisement too. By showing the physical sight of the car makes a lot of the car lovers drool over it and sport wear attracts many teenagers to buy them.

A lot of people might not agree that they have been influence by the advertisements but it is true that almost everyone who have a television at home, will follow either the way the model dresses or buy the products.

To me I agree that the advertisements have great influence on our daily life.

* haha some paragraphs sound so chinese translated~ whoo whee haha hmmz come to think of it, ad rly have a certain say on our daily life. hmmz $1.95 mac meal anyone? =p

ahha

Aloha~!~!~!~! any favourite foods for slimming~?

oh well. i have to admit. by gg back to eat my barley porridge slimmin diet is gg to be a v tough on me. firstly i'm nt willin to go back to diz diet, secondly, i'm ermz a lil sick of eating barley porridge again, lastly, i'm very lazy to prepare it. arghz. lazy me = fat me. sigh wanna be prettier have to be hardworking but i'm so lazy how.... sobz.

turning 20 now meaning it will be harder to slim now. sigh, nw come to think of it i think my tummy's fats have become stubborns fats, difficult to shed off e excess fats, lazy to shed it off. however, whenever i'm free or i'm motivated to slim down, i do go for a swim or attend amore. =D hmmz. my target?
*i wan to shed off 5kg and reduce e extra inches on my waist tummy arms n thighs.
now tt i'm 'burning w determination' to slim down i have surf e net for btr slimming diets. hopefully it is smt btr den e barley porridge(alrite barley porridge isnt that bad but i guess i'm juz tired of e taste? =p). eheh

but often dieting food will link back to e concept of blend food or juz by eatin carrots sticks. -.-' well not true!

1. Yams and sweet potatoes.

Great diet foods because they’re low on the so-called glycemic index, says Dr. Lieberman. The glycemic index measures the values of various foods based on how quickly they break down and are absorbed into the bloodstream. The slower the digestion, the lower the score, the better the food is for regulating blood sugars, insulin, and overall metabolism – all of which affect fat deposition.

2. Oranges, apples and grapefruit.

Dr. Lieberman recommends these particular fruits because they contain high levels of the soluble fiber pectin. Fiber slows digestion, helps eliminate toxins stored in body fat, and gives you a feeling of fullness.

3. Killer sandwiches.

To lose 40 pounds in 21 weeks, Kristina relied on plenty of hearty sandwiches stacked with vegetables, such as tomato, cucumber, sprouts, lettuce and onion, as well as deli meats – but always oven-roasted turkey over anything vacuum-packed. For bread choice, Kristina suggests anything brown with lots of seeds and heavy grains you can actually see, because less-milled ingredients contain much more fiber.

4. Cereal

They can be a little hard to find, but low-sugar cereals packed with protein and fiber are hitting the market. The Kashi brand is one of the best, says Kristina. “I eat my cereal with skim milk and blackberries or raspberries, which contain about 8g of fiber per cup. That’s like three or four slices of bread!”

5. Salad

“If you eat a salad, make it valuable,” suggests Kristina, also a former five-star chef from New York City. “Get field or Asian greens and add a yogurt dressing. Plus you need a ton of vegetables and some good lean protein, like grilled salmon.”

6. Quiche

Quiche made with egg whites and just a couple of yolks is one of Kristina’s favorite protein sources. She also tosses in a little low-fat cheese, broccoli and spinach.

7. Yogurt

And other dairy goods that come in great-tasting, low-fat products.

8. Almonds

Nuts are loaded with monounsaturated fats – the good fats that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, known to lower cholesterol. Fats are as necessary to a healthy diet as protein and carbohydrates. “I recommend that 20 percent of calories come from [healthy] fat,” Dr. Lieberman says. Small amounts of nuts are a good starting point.

9. Peanut butter

Likewise, nut butters are a great source of those healthy, monounsaturated fats. Kristina likes unsalted, all natural brands of peanut butter. But almond or cashew butter is considered an even healthier option (especially if you’re allergic to peanuts!). Enjoy your favorite, but in moderation.

10. Hummus.

AKA pureed chickpeas, garlic, and a little lemon juice. Great with whole-wheat pita bread or organic corn chips.

11. Salsa.

Another favorite for dipping, and a homemade batch is easy to make. Fresh salsa is simply tomato, onion, jalapeno and cilantro. Now, tell me, what could possibly be unhealthy about that?

haha~ can throw e old concept of mine n start tryin on some new fast slimmin food! =D
-.-' haha i hope i'll have e determination!!!! whooo whee~

first date

First Date

Wad will ur first reaction be whn u come across these two words 'first date'? will it be FEAR? for fear tt there mite be a communication breakdwn? an awarken slience? strike of a wrong topic? brainstormin for topics to start w? breakin e ice e wrong way n ended up portraitin a wrong first impression which most feels tt first impression are impt?

yupz. i have fear. =D
haha i'm a person who cant speak clearly n express myself clearly n correct. therefore, often i would've to worry whneva i got any first dates n all. coz i dnt wanna portrait a wrong self n all. sigh. =D
haha i blog abt diz topic is becoz while i was surfin aimlessly online i came across a website which catch my attention, here u go~ tips for first dates! (i think some mite be quite useful? hehz hehz adopted from msn.)

1. “I love your name; what’s the origin? Were you named after anyone in particular?” Just about everyone’s name has a back-story attached to it, says Mia Kirshenbaum, dating coach and author of The Weekend Marriage. You’ll probably get a fun, learn-about-your-date’s-family exchange out of this remark.
2. “Where did you go on your last trip?” Whether it was an exotic safari or just a weekend in Jersey, people love to talk about the places they’ve traveled, suggests Elizabeth Bates of Boston, Massachusetts. Plus you’ll find out whether they’re more drawn to cities, beaches, or exotic locations—giving you still more conversational fodder.
3. “If you could do college over, what would you study?” Perhaps they would forget economics and take theater, for example. Definitely gets them talking and reveals their innermost wishes. 4. “What’s your favorite new restaurant?” You’ll have an instant window into your date’s likes and dislikes when it comes to cuisine. And if that topic doesn’t pan out, ask about their favorite dishes to cook at home, advises Stephanie Whitehead of New York.
5. “What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve done in the last month?” If someone can’t remember ever doing anything spontaneous, that tells you something, too.
6. “What trait do friends tease you about?” You’ll learn how your date’s friends see him or her, as well as find out how seriously your date takes himself or herself.
7. “What’s your take on ____ (current event)?” Skimming the Op-Ed section of the newspaper before your date keeps you up-to-date, suggest Steven Kim of Philadelphia. Not that you need to engage in serious CNN-style discussions; instead, keep it light and avoid controversial topics (sex, politics, religion), unless you really want to feel like you’re on Crossfire.
8. “How do you know ____(mutual friend)?” Obviously, this one will only work if you have a friend in common—but if you have that in your corner, work it, suggests Tim Sanders, relationship expert and author of The Likeability Factor. You’ll be able to blab about how you each met the pal, what you think of your buddy’s new job, and so on.
9. “What are you reading right now?” Even if it’s a magazine, everyone does a little browsing. Find out about what’s on their bedside table, says Alyssa Citarella, of Norwalk, Connecticut, and you’ll learn something about their literary tastes and hobbies, which is a springboard to other conversations.
10. “Can you believe this ____(heat/cold spell?) It makes me want to move to ____. How about you?” The weather may be a predictable topic, but the way you pose the question doesn’t have to be so. Chances are your date will reveal whether or not he or she has considered relocating to another clime, offers Mia Kirshenbaum.
11.“Who in your family do you take after the most?” Whether it’s their mother, father, or great-aunt Louisa, you’ll learn something about their personality, as well as how close they are to their clan.
12. “What’s on your iPod these days?” Discover their musical tastes. And if your date doesn’t have an iPod by now? “Well, that’s a whole other topic for discussion,” suggests Theresa O’Rourke of New York City.
13. “You’ve got just 20 bucks to your name. How would you choose to spend it?” While this question may not be as fun to answer as “You’ve won the lottery—what would you buy?” it can provoke an interesting discussion about priorities.
14.“Are you a morning person or a night person?” A random, fun question like this shows you’re not all serious, all the time.
15. “What’s the last good movie you saw?” This can lead into new films you’re interested in seeing together—maybe on your next date, suggests Stephanie Whitehead.
16. “Leno or Letterman—or Jon Stewart?” Most people swear allegiance to one of these nighttime chatters—find out whom your date invites into their bedroom.
17. “Do you collect anything?” This one has a strange way of starting a conversation. Chances are, your date either has a collection to talk about with gusto—or will share a bad collecting experience from childhood that’ll get you both gabbing.
18. “Do you have any secrets? Are you willing to reveal one to me?” Even if the answer is that she (or he) is wearing red underwear, revealing a personal detail creates an immediate level of intimacy between two people—although it’s best to wait until you’ve both had a glass or two of wine, or at least until the dessert arrives, before you deliver this one, advises Tim Sanders.
19. “What’s your dream job?” Then follow up with a short description of your own once and future aspirations, advises Mira Kirshenbaum.
20. “Who do you admire these days?” Lance Armstrong? Neil Armstrong? Either way, the explanation will be very revealing, explains Patricia Madson, author of Improv Wisdom and a professor of drama at Stanford University.

alrite, sum i find dem quite useful while some mite nt be appealin to use on sg'eans duhz ya think so? =D
